Aldi’s sell-out heated airer is back in stock from today (Thursday), costing £27.99.
With energy prices more expensive than in previous years many people are trying to find ways to use less gas and electricity where they can.
Tumble dryers are said to be one of the most energy-guzzling household appliances, but with the weather so grim at the moment it can be hard to find alternative ways to dry your clothes. Some people hang theirs on heated radiators, but this can cause damp and mould.
Thankfully airers are safe to use in this respect, and Aldi's 230W airer costs just 8p per hour to run. It features large, foldable wings and 18 heating tube.
Heating up as soon as it’s plugged in, it also includes a cover to help speed up drying time.
The airers sold out quickly last time they were available. Those looking for a bargain shouldn’t hang around as with all Specialbuys once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Alternatively, Lakeland has just slashed the price of some of its heated airers as part of its Black Friday deals, and happy customers say they "couldn't do without" theirs. The Dry:Soon 3-Tier Heated Airer has been reduced from £159.99 to £127.99.
According to Lakeland's website it "costs just pennies to run" and has three foldable heated shelves to "dry laundry quicker". It comes with 21m of drying space meaning it's perfect to dry your laundry "gently indoors".
The device also comes with a three year guarantee and it made from lightweight aluminium. Leaving a five-star review, one shopper said: "Perfect for a small space and so easy to install. Can dry two machine loads and also cuts down on ironing! Love it!"
