Fast food outlet McDonald's has become a familiar fixture on high streets across the county for decades.

The American restaurant chain McDonald's was founded in 1940 and since then has seen many sites open around the world - including Merseyside. In Liverpool, the first McDonald's restaurant in the city opened its doors on Lord Street in November 1985.

But it's fair to say the company has inevitably seen change through the years, from branding and décor to menu items. Last year, the ECHO reported how a now 30-year old McDonald's menu had been rediscovered showing old prices and in some cases lost items.

The retro McDonald's menu, rediscovered by our archives Mirrorpix, was attached to a wall at a branch way back in 1993 and snapped by a Daily Mirror photographer. From the lost triple thick milkshakes to staples like the Big Mac or bacon and egg McMuffin, they definitely stir some memories.

We've since created a quiz to see if you can guess the prices of a number of the menu items. Take our quiz below and if you can't see it, click here.

These prices are from the an old McDonald's menu from three decades ago and include prices from the time. It is not specified which branch the menu came from, but we can assume prices were identical, if not fairly similar, in all of their branches in 1993 in Britain.

We also used an inflation calculator to give us an estimate of what those prices would be in today's money, but we appreciate this my not be completely accurate. However, it does give us an insight into how things used to be.

Tell us in the comments section what your memories are of McDonald's in 1993 and how you got on with quiz. Good luck!
