People planning to travel from the UK to Italy have been hit with a warning from the Foreign Office.
The Government department regularly updates its advice for people visiting any one of 226 countries and territories. Alerts make reference to things such a safety risks, extreme weather, and illness outbreaks, among others and people are always urged to check before they travel.
Now, an urgent waring has been issued as people travelling to Italy this week should be aware of one thing. There could be potential disruption due to strike action.

In updated guidance today, the Foreign Office is warning there will be a 24 hour national strike of airport, airline and ground handling staff is expected on November 24. Advice reads: "Travellers are advised to seek updates with their booking provider."
When it comes to local travel, holiday-goers are urged to use officially licensed taxis only. Advice added: "Transport strikes are often called at short notice. You can find information on the Ministry of Transport website (in Italian).
"Traffic can be busy, fast and chaotic, especially in the larger cities. Take care when crossing roads. Pedestrians should cross roads using a crossing. You can be fined for crossing the road if you are within 100 metres of a pedestrian crossing but do not use it.
"Drivers don’t always stop, even though they are required to. The green pedestrian crossing signal also allows cars to turn right onto the crossing, so cross with caution."
