Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have owned Liverpool FC since October 2010. Formerly known as New England Sports Ventures (NESV), the group was founded in 2001 by Liverpool’s principal owner John W Henry. The group is made up of Henry, Liverpool chairman Tom Werner, Mike Gordon, David Ginsberg, Philip H Morse and Ed Weiss. The company took control of Liverpool in 2010 after a high court battle to oust former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett. FSG also own the Boston Red Sox, as well as having stakes in NASCAR’s Roush Fenway Racing and Minor League baseball team the Salem Red Sox. They have won the Premier League, Champions League and Club World Cup with Liverpool.
