The much anticipated Barbie movie is officially being released in UK cinemas today Friday, July 21.
The cast list of 2023's Barbie is filled with superstar names across film, TV and music in the list. From blink and you'll miss it cameos to scene-stealing performances, the cast includes everyone from John Cena, Dua Lipa to Issa Rae and Will Ferrell.
But one face we didn’t expect to see at the Barbie premiere was Rob Brydon. It has been revealed that Uncle Bryn himself has a small part in the most highly-anticipated film of the year as character 'Sugar Daddy Ken', reports WalesOnline.

Perhaps it was Barbie star Margo Robbie who put in a good word for the Welsh actor as he explained that she is a huge fan of the BBC show. Speaking to Virgin Radio from the pink carpet about how he managed to secure the cameo, he said: “I think this came about because I had a message a few years ago that Margot Robbie was a big fan of Uncle Bryn and would I record a message for her birthday.
"So I recorded a video for her. I think maybe this part is her way of saying thank you. I said, ‘Hello Margot. I've loved you in all your films and I'll tell you why...’ So when I met her on the set, she said, 'Ah, thank you so much for that message…' So that was quite nice.”
He told Virgin: "I've not seen it. My wife and I are in a debate whether I'll be in it for three seconds or four seconds. I mean, all modesty aside, it's going to be very brief.
“I thought Sugar Daddy Ken had connotations but apparently it's his dog who’s called Sugar and he’s his daddy. I was relieved to hear that."
He was then asked if more men should be like Ken, he agreed by saying: “I say to men all the time, men, find your Ken. He’s surely the way forward."
