Liverpool Comic Con returned to the city last month and proved to be a hit with convention-goers. The event was held at the Exhibition Centre on Kings Dock, and the weekend saw the Pier Head flooded with cosplayers, sci-fi and fantasy fans and plenty of special guests.

While the most recent Liverpool Comic Con outing saw the likes of Helena Bonham-Carter and Simon Pegg visit the city, next year’s event is set to have some prestigious guests attend.
Who is attending Comic Con 2024?
Fans of the beloved film franchise Lord of the Rings will be excited to learn that multiple cast members have been confirmed to attend.
Stars Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Miranda Otto and Bernard Hill are set to appear. Fans will know them as Frodo, Merry, Éowyn and Théoden, King of Rohan respectively.
At the time of publishing, only these four members of the Lord of the Rings cast have been announced, but there is potential for more cast members to be revealed before Comic Con lands next year.
Other stars attending are Power Rangers cast members Walter Jones and David Yost, as well as Marvel royalty Elizabeth Olsen, who has played Wanda Maximoff since 2014.
The Liverpool Comic Con social media accounts have been updating fans on cast member announcements since last week, so more guest reveals will no doubt be on their way.
Liverpool Comic Con takes place on May 4 and May 5 2024.
