Liverpool have been handed a quadruple injury boost ahead of their mouthwatering Premier League showdown at Manchester City on Saturday.

Curtis Jones, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Ryan Gravenberch were all back in training as the full squad reconvened at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby on Thursday to ramp up preparations for the clash at the Etihad between the top two teams.

The South American quartet of Alexis Mac Allister, Alisson Becker, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez were also involved having been flown home on a private jet after playing in World Cup qualifiers for their respective countries in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time.

However, there was still no sign of Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic as they continue to recover from their long-term injury issues, while Andy Robertson's rehabilitation is similarly ongoing following a shoulder operation.

Jones has missed the last three games after suffering a hamstring problem during the 2-1 League Cup win at Bournemouth earlier this month, while Gravenberch sat out the last two matches with a knee issue suffered in training.

Centre-backs Gomez and Konate, meanwhile, were also absent from Liverpool's last game, a 3-0 win at Brentford a fortnight ago, with the latter's issue enough to subsequently rule him out of France's squad for the international break.

The availability of the four players will come as a major boost for Jurgen Klopp as the Reds aim for a first Premier League victory at the Etihad since 2015.
