Comic Con has confirmed it will be returning to Liverpool next year, and the first celebrity guest has been announced.
The convention is a dream for people who love all things film and TV, comic books and sci-fi. Cosplayers will also be in attendance, for all those who want to dress as their favourite characters.
Comic book lovers, sci-fi fans and cosplay enthusiasts will be able to meet their favourite celebrities once again in May 2024. Now, Comic Con has confirmed the first guest for 2024 - and it's a major Marvel star.

Elizabeth Olsen will be attending the convention in May next year. The actress gained worldwide recognition for her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the MCU, appearing in the superhero films Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as well as the miniseries WandaVision.
Outside of her work with Marvel, Olsen starred in the monster film Godzilla (2014), the mystery film Wind River, and the dramedy Ingrid Goes West.
The previous Comic Con, in October, was a star-studded affair, with Harry Potter's Helena Bonham Carter, Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer, and Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie in attendance.
Visitors can arrange autographs and photographs with their favourite stars. However, the event is not just about celebrities, with art stalls, merchandise and board games all available at the convention.
