Martin Freeman was pictured with his head in his hands as he was spotted filming for the second series of The Responder.
The BBC crime drama stars Martin as troubled cop Chris Carson, who attempts to take down a dangerous Merseyside drug ring, and soon finds himself swept up in a series of dramatic events. The show was written by former Merseyside Police officer Tony Schumacher and was inspired by his experiences working for the force.
The last episode of the series ended as Chris and his partner, Rachel Hargreaves, drove away in a police car to take on another gruelling shift. The open-ended finale left viewers hopeful there would be another series of the programme - with BBC bosses later confirming this would happen.

Filming started in the city last month, with crews already taking to Marion Square in Netherton and Pennington Road in Bootle. People living nearby received letters in the post to confirm The Responder series two was being filmed.
On Thursday, October 26, Martin was spotted on Strathcona Road in Wavertree where he was filming a clip of him on the phone. At one point the actor had his head in his hands before appearing to be concerned.
This isn't the first time Martin has been spotted filming on Strathcona Road, with film crews taking over the area on September 18. Footage taken by a neighbour at the time showed Martin walking along the street, bumping into a nearby bin, and throwing a bottle across the road in anger.
The Responder received BAFTA nominations in four categories, including best Drama Series. Martin Freeman was nominated for the Leading Actor award, which was won by Ben Whishaw for his role in medical drama This is Going to Hurt.
Adelayo Adedayo was nominated for the Supporting Actress award, won by Anne-Marie Duff, and Josh Finan was nominated for Supporting Actor, won by Adeel Akhtar.
