Mayor of Liverpool

Joanne Anderson was elected as Mayor of Liverpool in May 2021. She is the city's first female mayor and is from Netherley in Liverpool. She replaced Joe Anderson, who held the post from 2012 to 2021, standing down after being arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery and witness intimidation.
