Multiple roads were closed after a woman fell from a bridge.

Emergency services were called to Sandy Road in Seaforth following an incident this afternoon (Thursday). Officers received a report that a woman had fallen from a bridge.

An air ambulance was pictured landing at the side of a roundabout. The woman was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries to her face and hands.

Crosby Road South, Princess Way, Church Road and Hawthorne Road were closed while emergency services worked at the scene. All roads have since been reopened.
