UK banking giants NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland have announced they will close another 19 branches.

Some 18 NatWest sites across England and Wales will close in February and March 2024, while one RBS branch in Glasgow will close in November next year. The banks are both part of the NatWest Group.

The news comes after reports in September that the banking group would close "at least 143 branches in 2023 and 2024".

In our region two Natwest branches will close, on Ormskirk Moor Street and on Prescot Road in Old Swan.

Alternative ways to bank with NatWest and RBS include "mobile branches" which can be found at various locations throughout the year, for up to five days at a time. The service lets you do everyday banking including making deposits and withdrawing cash.

You can find out where your nearest mobile branch is, or when it will next be in your area, on the NatWest website or on the RBS website.
