Liverpool’s Sound City has announced some of its first acts for the highly anticipated 2024 festival.

The festival is renowned for uncovering new talent, with past alumni including Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Stormzy, Grimes, Yungblud, The 1975 and more. It will take place next year between May 4-5 and tickets are available to purchase now.

Sound City has released its first batch of artists including festival headliners Caity Baser and The Snuts. Caity Baster, 21, is described as one of the UK’s ‘most exciting pop artists’ with a devoted fan base known for tracks like ‘Dance Around It’ and 'Feels This Good'.

Scottish indie band The Snuts will also headline Sound City, known for their debut album “W.L” that hit the top of the UK charts. Popular songs from The Snuts include Gloria, Hallelujah Moment and Always.

Speaking about headlining Sound City 2024, Caity Baser said: “I’ve heard that whenever you play a show in Liverpool, the crowd is nuts - so I’m excited to find out if it’s true! It’s a city that means so much to me with the amount of good music that has come from it, so I literally couldn’t be more excited to headline Sound City Liverpool. Headlining - little old me - who would have thought? Watch out Liverpool I’m coming for you!"

As a part of Sound City celebrations, the Sound City+ Conference will return on Friday May 3 2024. The conference aims to ‘examine the music landscape’ and features a range of different panels and speakers.
