A Liverpool FC fan said he's had to rely on friends and family for money after the club accidentally requested his ticket payment four times.
The administrative error occurred after John Patterson bought tickets for the upcoming Europa League game against LASK. John woke up the next day to discover he couldn't access £448 in his bank as the money was in his pending transactions.
The 58-year-old said: "On November 6 I was buying four tickets at £28 each for the Liverpool LASK game on November 30 for £112 all together. I went to bed and woke up the next morning and saw another four payments for £112 were in the pending transactions which I wasn't supposed to pay."

John immediately rang his bank who told him to contact the club. Liverpool FC reassured him that the pending transaction will not reach the club and the money will be returned within a few days. However, during this time, John was still unable to access the money from his pending transactions, meaning he had to turn to friends and family for help with food and electricity.
He said: "I've had no money and you have no idea the stress over the last couple of days. It feels like friends and family have bailed me out."
John, who suffers from Diabetes and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), said: "I have a disability as well... I dread to think what this stress did to my blood pressure over these last couple of days."
John loves Liverpool FC so much that he crosses the sea from Northern Ireland by ferry back and forth to attend games. Despite having been a fan since he was seven years old, John admits the whole ordeal has made him question that loyalty. He said: "Now I'm wondering why I bother going, do I want to go back? I don't have the words the whole situation has just put me in a bad place."
He added: "I'll eventually get over it but I don't know if I'm going to go to that Europa game now."
All of the four payments have been returned to John's account from his pending transactions just under ten days after the frustrating saga began.
