Actress Ellie Leach looks adorable in a resurfaced TV advert shot before her Coronation Street fame.

The 22-year-old has grown up on our screens playing the troubled Faye Windass on the Cobbles. She first joined the soap in 2011 when she was aged 10 as a potential adoptive child for Anna and Eddie Windass.

During her time on the soap, Ellie was involved in hard-hitting storylines including being bullied about her weight at school, falling pregnant at a young age and going through early menopause. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Ellie would be leaving Coronation Street after 12 years to try new acting opportunities and she has since wowed audiences as a contestant on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.

Partnered with professional dancer Vito Coppola, the pair's Rumba scored 35 points this weekend as stars battled it out to make it to Blackpool. But prior to her soap star life and Strictly debut, Ellie's TV career began when she appeared in TV adverts for big brands like McDonald's and Staples.

Many will remember the famous Staples office supply advert starring a baby-faced Ellie wearing a blue school uniform while in a classroom. In the clip, Ellie is asked by a classmate if she could borrow a pen.

Ellie replies: "Yeah which one. I've got a pink one, a green one, a fountain one, a purple one and a pen that's also a pencil." When her friend asks for the latter, Ellie continues: "If you want a pencil a blue one, an orange one..."

The advert ends with Ellie's classmate rolling her eyes and putting her head on the table as Ellie continues to talk on. The clip recently resurfaced on Tik Tok, posted by @cubecertic.

"It's like a Roman empire because when she started playing Faye on Corrie, I was "that's the girl from that advert" and I still think back to it now when I see her on Strictly". Many commented on the video and reminisced about the noughties Staples advert.

One person said: " Wow I had no idea but as soon as it showed I recognised it instantly." One wrote: "Omg I forgot about that advert."
