Make the best of the October half-term by getting the family together and experiencing something new.
Across Merseyside, businesses, venues and groups are putting together some scary events that all ages will enjoy.
Just a few highlights include the thunderous Katumba Halloween Carnival Parade through the city centre, followed by the Liverpool ONE Halloween takeover the following night. If you prefer something a little more lowkey, there is also an array of crafty activities to get involved in.

Some events are free to attend and don't require a booking but some you may need to pay a small fee for. However, all of the events listed sit comfortably under £20.

River of Light
The event showcases several installations created by local, national and international artists. Once open, people can walk along the two-kilometre River of Light trail for free and see the 12 installations that can be found along the route from various artists.

Anfield Origins Tour
The free self-guided tour takes you on a historical journey around the exterior of Anfield Stadium. Using QR codes and an app, visitors will be transported from the 19th Century to the present day, exploring the Reds’ remarkable past and discovering fascinating stories about the club at every stop.

Monsterz Mayhem
To mark Halloween, the popular children’s science and discovery centre Imagine That! will welcome visitors to its Monsterz Mayhem event.
It is not to be missed with themed crafts, ‘worm-infested’ slime, a new science show and souvenirs all included in admission, with 13 incredible events taking place overall.

Meet the Scientists
Tag along and meet scientists from the University of Liverpool at the World Museum. Try your hand at making your own blood, learn how music is made, find new ways to reduce food waste and more.

Katumba Halloween Carnival Parade
The parade kicks off on at 7:30pm with horrifying monsters, creatures and demons known as 'zonbi'. Bold Street will be filled with thunderous music as Katumba marches through the area with all ages welcome to watch the performance unfold.

Haunted Tales of Port Sunlight Tour
Behind the village's beautiful architecture and green spaces lies a hidden history. Join one of the tour guides as they take you on an exclusive tour filled with haunted tales.

Autumn Make and Take Crafts
Get involved with some autumnal and creepy crafts at Port Sunlight Village's first children’s Halloween craft workshops to create your own nature bats, Halloween lanterns and more.

Spooktacular Slime and Soap
Step into the lab with Professor Suds to take part in a spooktacular soap and slime workshop, concoct sudsy experiments and create concoctions that make your cauldrons ooze with slime.
