Warrington

Warrington was founded in the 8th century, becoming a town at some point in the 12th century. As well as being a thriving town centre it also lends its name to the surrounding borough to form the local council area. Well-known as a retail destination featuring major brands including IKEA, it is also home to a large Unilever factory. Warrington has two main railway stations, Bank Quay and Central, as well as easy access to the M62, making it one of the best-connected towns in the North West. It's also the home of rugby league side Warrington Wolves and Warrington Town FC
