An award-winning ice cream shop has launched what it is claiming to be the ‘world’s first’ ice cream drive-in.

The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire is much-loved by families across Merseyside and is hugely popular year-round. Now, the attraction has created a new way for visitors to get their hands on ice cream from the comfort of their car.

The drive-in, rather than a drive thru, has been created as a scenic spot for the Ice Cream Drive In at the family play park near Tattenhall. The Ice Cream Farm drive-in means families can still visit and get their fix with many flavours to choose from without needing to leave their cars.

Now, drivers can stop by and order a cone by using a QR code, which is then delivered by golf buggy to the car. Ice cream flavours available include Mint Choc Chip, Jammy Dodger, Popping Candy, Lemon Sherbert and many more. Cool Dog is on the digital menu for canine visitors.

The ice cream is delivered by a member of staff, directly to the car. An area with deckchairs has also been added so that cyclists and walkers can use the service too.

The drive-in concept was first launched by the attraction back in 2020 as a way to keep its business open during the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the project has been relaunched for the summer with the new system for easier ordering.

The Ice Cream Farm is one of the stops on Visit Cheshire's family-friendly Delicious Dozen Ice Cream Trail . The free self-guided route features 12 venues that make ice cream in the county.

The Ice Cream Farm is based around 30 miles from Liverpool, meaning families can make the trip in around 40 minutes. The farm is based at Drumlan Hall, Newton Ln, Cheshire, Chester, CH3 9NE.
