The Zutons have announced their first new album in 16 years as they prepare to embark on a UK tour.

The Liverpool band, who are perhaps best known for writing Valerie which was later covered by Amy Winehouse, formed in 2001 taking their name from The Magic Band guitarist Bill Harkleroad, better known as Zoot Horn or ‘Zuton’ Rollo. The band originally consisted of Dave McCabe, Sean Payne, Russell Pritchard and Boyan Chowdhury, who left in 2007.

Abi Harding was a later addition, first as a session musician and then a full-time member after proving a favourite with the live crowds.
